Biography
Jeff Taxier has over 45 years of experience in the insurance and restoration industries. Mr. Taxier spent most of his career with Allstate Insurance Company, where he held a variety of increasingly challenging management positions in California prior to his accepting a position as a Home Office Consultant at Allstate’s prestigious Claims Training Center at Tech-Cor in Wheeling, Illinois.
Mr. Taxier’s experience includes being the Property Claims Manager for Allstate’s Southern California office. He has assisted in the management of numerous catastrophes for Allstate, including Hurricane Andrew and the Northridge Earthquake.
At Tech-Cor, Mr. Taxier assisted with the re-design of the Property Curriculum, for which he was awarded Allstate’s Distinguished Service Award. He also participated in the development of Allstate’s state of the art dispatch system. Mr. Taxier has also created numerous web-based and on-line training courses. He is a lead instructor for Restoration CrossCheck LLC.
Mr. Taxier has provided deposition and trial testimony in numerous cases, many times in the role of Person Most Knowledgeable.
After a 35-year career with Allstate Mr. Taxier joined American Technologies Inc. as their Education and Training Manager. In that role, he provided technical, behavioral and leadership training for America’s largest family-owned restoration company.
Mr. Taxier has presented at the Property and Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) Annual, Regional, and Large Loss Conferences. He has also presented at the Xactware (now Verisk) User’s Conference, Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), Risk and Insurance Managers Society (RIMS), International Facilities Managers Association (IFMA) and the University Risk Manager’s and Insurance Association (URMIA) annual conferences.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola Marymount University and is a Masters Candidate in Instructional Technology at Northern Illinois University. He holds the Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) designation from The Institutes, as well as certificates in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, and Fire and Smoke Restoration from the IICRC. For many years Mr. Taxier was a Certified Trainer in Xactimate and conducted many classes training hundreds of insurance and restoration professionals on property estimating best practices.
Mr. Taxier remains provides consultations on insurance adjusting, coverage, and property restoration projects, and serves as an insurance claims appraiser.
