Mold Essentials – S520 Mold Standard by the Numbers and Letters Course

$79.00

Presented by Cole Stanton

Description

Overview

This class focuses on  mold remediation using the IICRC S520 standards.   Professional Mold Remediation goes hand-in-hand with water damage as both share moisture intrusion as the root cause, but the challenges of mold are unique.  Mold can be solved for the client, and be profitable for the restorer with ongoing education and training.   This class relies on following the thread of mold jobs through the S520 professional standards. The class highlights the responsibilities of the remediator, as well as what is better left to others like the IEP.

This class is presented by Cole Stanton, who was a drafting and voting member of the IICRC S520 committee for 20 years, and is an acclaimed specialist on the materials and methods employed in mold remediation. This class is part of the Technical Excellence curriculum at Restoration Crosscheck. You will find it in the Body of Knowledge Content Library.  There are no prerequisites.   This session is suitable for all levels of the restoration company – from refreshing knowledge among production staff prior to increasing the mold comprehension of estimators, and leadership. Attendees will be guided through the S520’s project category system of Conditions 1, 2, and 3. At the conclusion of this class you will be able to:

Learning Objectives

  • Compare and contrast the roles of restorer and IEP
  • Gather and organize the right information for inspections, pre-work determinations, post-remediation evaluations, and post-remediation verifications.
  • Explain the relationship between the first principle of source removal, and how that relates to proper and improper use of cleaning chemistry, antimicrobials and coatings.
  • Differentiate ideal step-by-step remediation from the realities that invoke the crucial yet often misunderstood concepts of LCCC and deviation.
