Lead RRP Awareness

Overview

This class focuses on the lead paint responsibilities of a restoration company, and any subcontractors, in accord with the US EPA Renovate Right (RRP) regulatory program.  Common renovation, restoration and remodeling activities often creates hazardous lead dust and chips, which can be harmful to adults and children.  Since 2010, all contractors performing projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified, must distribute EPA lead brochures, and prevent lead contamination.  If a job involves replacing windows or disturbs paint on older properties there is a good chance of lead being present. Lead-safe work practices are enforced in this training class to help you avoid potential daily fines for violations of $37,500.

The class is presented by Mark Pasculli, an extremely versatile subject expert with the  skills of a restoration contractor, CPA, and attorney. This class is part of the Technical Excellence curriculum at Restoration Crosscheck. You will find it in the Body of Knowledge Content Library.  Renovate Right (RRP) and lead rules compliance under state, OSHA, EPA, and HUD are a legal obligation – so everyone involved with construction contracting should listen to what Mark has to share.  This class has no prerequisites.   NOTE:  this course has a counterpart: Lead Abatement Essentials.  We recommend both as each has unique information, and support each other! At the conclusion of this class you will be able to:
